Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vishesh Mahajan, today flagged off two vehicles here from the DC Office Complex to spread awareness about the ongoing Annual Revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls- 2025. The vehicles will cover all 12 blocks of the district, to encourage eligible citizens to participate in the electoral roll update process.
District Panchayat Election Officer, Vishesh Mahajan urged all eligible residents of Reasi with January 1, 2025 as qualifying date, to register their names in the Panchayat Electoral Rolls.
Highlighting the importance of being a responsible citizen, he appealed to everyone to ensure their participation by submitting the necessary forms to their respective Election Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Election Registration Officers (AEROs).
The DC Reasi informed that to facilitate the process, several special camps are being organized at Panchayat Booth locations across the district, with more planned in the coming days.
The revision process is progressing smoothly, and the final Panchayat Electoral Rolls will be published on January 6, 2025.
