Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today reviewed the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district. The meeting focused on assessing the progress made under various schemes. The Nodal Officer HADP /Chief Agriculture Officer, Kishtwar Amjad Hussain Malik, presented a detailed report on the programme’s progress. He informed that a total of 14,314 applications were received across agriculture and allied sectors. Of these, 10,532 applications have been approved, including 7,996 in the Agriculture sector, 331 in Horticulture, 1,425 in Animal Husbandry, 589 in Sheep Husbandry, 167 in Sericulture, 18 in Fisheries, and 6 in the Marketing sector, as approved by the District Level Committee (DLC).
During the review, the DC emphasized the importance of maximizing the registration of eligible candidates throughout the district and directed field functionaries to ensure greater outreach and participation in the programme.
The meeting also included a comprehensive review of both physical and financial achievements across various sectors, such as Horticulture, Fisheries, Sheep Husbandry, and Animal Husbandry. The DC also set new targets for all allied departments to ensure progress in HADP and to achieve the top rank in the UT. These included a total number of targets: 7,350 for the Kisan Sathi Portal, 1,600 for Daksh Kisan, and 750 for adding farms to the KKG app. The review meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, CHO Kishtwar Sajid Mustafa, DSHO Kishtwar, DAO Kishtwar, SDO, SDAOs, SMS and other officials from agriculture and allied sectors.
