In a meeting of District Congress Committee Jammu (Urban) floral tributes were paid to Shri Anil Chopra (DCC President) on his 1st death anniversary here today at PCC HQ Shahidi Chowk Jammu. The senior leaders remembered his contribution in different capacities to the party and the people.
The function organized by District Congress Committee Jammu (urban) and attended by a large number of people including prominent leaders of the Congress party, sympathizers and family friends of Late Shri Anil Chopra. Former Minister & Vice President JKPCC Shri Raman Balla, Shri Vikrama Ditya Singh (Ex-MLC), General Secretaries PCC Th. Manmohan Singh & Smt. Namrata Sharma, Ashok Dogra (Ex-MLA), Pranav Shagotra, Uday Bhanu Chib and Shri other Senior Congress leaders paid floral tributes to Shri Chopra.
While paying tributes Shri Raman Bhalla described Shri Anil Copra a grass root leader of the party who always remained attached to party workers and common people of the state. His contribution as political leader and as District President was commendable, who always raised voice of the poor and downtrodden sections of the society. He said that Shri Chopra played a significant role in the party who devoted his entire life in the service of people. While paying tributes Th. Manmohan Singh said that Shri Anil Chopra was known in the party rank and file for his simplicity, honesty, commitment and dedication towards the service of people, especially the downtrodden and poor. He rose to the position in the party from the grass root level by the dint of his hard work. Shri Vikrama Ditya Singh paid floral tributes to Anil Chopra and said that Mr. Chopra was always helpful to the people at grass root level and he was a great inspiration for the younger generation. He has set an example of commitment to the cause of common people and ideology of the party.
