District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai today visited Yatra Transit Camp Shadipora and took stock of the arrangements being put in place for ensuring smooth and hassle-free Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
He was accompanied by SSP Bandipora Sheikh Zulfkar and SDM Sumbal Syeed Naseer and other concerned officers.
The DDC inspected ongoing works of water supply, sanitation blocks, electrification and other works. He was informed that sufficient quantity of toilet blocks and washrooms are available in the camp. Reviewing the medical facilities, the DDC was informed that one critical ambulance shall be kept available at the camp besides carrying ambulance and paramedical staff and medicine.
Other arrangements which the DDC reviewed threadbare include security, sanitation, renovation of building and barricading, water supply, transport, electricity, communication, deployment of magistrates, establishment of control room and availability of fire tender.
Earlier, SDM Sumbal, who is also nodal officer for supervising Yatra arrangements, briefed the DDC about the arrangements in detail.
The DDC directed for proper arrangements of the uninterrupted power supply with standby arrangements of two DG sets. He directed officers to ensure all arrangements before 26th of this month.
Among others, Officers from CRPF and other concerned departments were present on the occasion.
