District Development Commissioner (DDC) Harvinder Singh today chaired a review meeting in his office Chamber to assess the damages caused to the Rural Development Department (RDD) and Forest sectors due to the recent spell of incessant rains across the district.
The meeting was attended by DFO Shahbaz Ul Rehman; Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal; Chief Planning Officer Manesh Kumar and Assistant Commissioner Development. All other Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs), besides Block Development Officers (BDOs) joined the meeting virtually.
The DDC took detailed feedback from the concerned officers regarding the extent of damage, losses to infrastructure, and measures taken for immediate restoration.
He emphasized the need for timely assessment and submission of detailed reports so that necessary relief and restoration works can be initiated without delay.
The DDC directed the departments to work in close coordination and ensure that essential services are restored promptly in the affected areas. He also stressed on proactive measures to mitigate further damage and safeguard public assets.
