Addressing Press Conference in Jammu, NPP Supremo demanded restoration of statehood of J&K which was founded by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846. He said that demolition of statehood of J&K on 5th august 2019 was great insult to the residents of J&K and particularly the Dogras whose the leader had founded the state. He said the Panthers Party take up this movement from J&K to the parliament of India. Prof Bhim Singh said that the restoration of statehood and holding of delimitation of J&K is the first target before the Panthers Party and this movement shall be launched from J&K to Delhi.
About the DDC election, he described this election as a deception which misled the voters of J&K. There was a big fraud and big deception for the residents of J&K that 140 seats were reserved for the 10 districts of Jammu and 140 seats for 10 districts of Kashmir Valley least caring for the population of two regions. The constituencies were created in total violation of delimitation rules. Similarly each district was given 14 DDC constituencies without caring for population and area of each district. Some districts in Jammu and some districts in Kashmir valley had population less than three and a half lacs whereas some districts in both region have districts with population over 6 lacs yet each district has been provided 14 DDC constituencies. This is deception and failure of the administration to ensure justice.
Prof Bhim Singh told the media that the Panthers Party shall carry this movement seeking equity and justice for all the region of the J&K state including Ladakh and hold demonstrations, if need be, in front of Parliament and shall file writ petition before the Supreme Court of India.
