District Development Commissioner kishtwar Ashok Sharma today reviewed the progress of rural development department in various sectors in a meeting held at meeting Hall DC Office kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commi ssioner Kishtwar Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pawan Parihar, Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Develo pment Kishore Singh Katoch, all the BDOs besides field functionaries of the RDD.
The meeting discussed threadbare about functioning of the RDD at the grass root level besides discussed the modalities for the verification of job cards as per the census 2011.
During the meeting DDC directed ACD Kishtwar and BDO’s to deploy field functionaries at grass root level to conduct the verification of the job cards in their respective Panchayats.
DC Kishtwar informed the meeting that any type of disparity in the families registered and the the job card issued in the different panchayats and blocks shall not be entertained and strict action will be initiated against erring officials for their slackness in conducting proper verification and weeding out ineligible Job card holders.
He further asked them to work professionally and ensure transparency in the implementation of MGNREGA schemes in the district.
Moreover the technical staff was impressed upon to expedite the process of the bill generation besides to improve the payments mechanism in the department so that the stakeholders will not face any problem and delay in receiving their payments.
In the meeting the block wise performance of the works undertaken were also reviewed and concerned BDOs were exhorted upon to pace up the process of work for timely completion of the alloted works before 31st of March 2021.
Besides strict directions were issued to the BDOs to identify the workers working in the Hydro electric Power projects and initiate the process of weeding them out from job cards beneficiary list.
On the issue of Geo tagging and the Aadhar seeding technical staff of RDD was also directed to ensure the completion of the pending entries before the end of this financial year.
In order to ensure that the panchayat garhs are constructed in the leftout panchayats he directed the ACD Kishtwar to identify the lands in the leftout panchayats so that the works of the construction of new panchayat garhs will be taken up besides he also stressed upon for the timely disbursement of the Pending installments of the PMAY(G) houses.
