DDC Samba launches Swachh Shakti Saptha in panchayat Katli

On the launch of nationwide Campaign, Swachh Shakti Saptah program start first march to 8th march 2017 District Administration samba organized an impressive function at panchayat Katli in samba to honour the women sanitation champions in furtherance of its drive to declare Samba District as open Defecation free which was presided over by District Development Commissioner Samba Sheetal nanda. The families namely Boli Devi widow of Satpal, Santosh Devi w/o Rattan Chand, Ramesh Lal s/O Kaka Ram, were motivated during the conduct of CLTS training programme in district samba to stop open defecation and construct toilet units at their homes. These motivation families have finally completed their toilet and were awarded appreciation certificates by the District Administration and requested them to be Swachhta Doots and contribute free by the end of this march. District Administration samba also honourded the role of sh. Ramesh Singh for his role as Natural leader and motivating the families and households to stop Defecating in open and construct toilets in their houses. Speaking on the occasion District Development Commissioner samba, Sheetal Nanda lauded the role of Natural leaders in bringing about a change in attitude of people towards sanitation. She also termed CLTS Community led Total sanitation Drive as the biggest movement for district samba reaching out to every Rural household. She termed Sanitation as key to a healthy life and urged upon the people to ensure cleanliness in and around their households.
