Jammu, Sept 16-
A delegation of pending cases of SRO 43/120 and SRO 43/376 called on Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta at his residence here today. They appealed to Gupta to take the matter with Governor Satya Pal Malik for the approval of the pending cases for appointment. Gupta was apprised that the 100 compassionate appointment cases under the SRO were recommended by General Administrative Department to the Chief Secretary but the cases from Srinagar were approved and the candidates from Jammu region are still waiting for the appointment which is discrimination at administrative end.
They further said that all the files have been annexed with the original qualification and other documents meaning that the candidates have no other choice to fill the forms for regular vacancies. The candidates appealed to take the matter with union Government also so that the justice is done to the aggrieved. They also handed over the representation to be forwarded to the concerned for early approval of the cases.
Gupta gave a patient hearing to the grievances discussed in the meeting and assured the delegation members that the matter shall be discussed with S.P. Malik, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and with Union Government. Gupta said that this type of discrimination can’t be accepted. He said that BJP believes in ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. Gupta said he shall be visiting Governor soon and matter shall be resolved as soon as possible.
