Dharmarth Trust employees, who are protest for the last 88th day and chain hunger strike for the last 61st days, on Friday held a strong protest here seeking intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
General Secretary Sunit Sharma and Secretary Subash Sharma strongly criticized the President Dharmarth Trust, Ajay Gandotra’s remarks on Bogh/Navid.
“Gandotra used the unholy language ‘ration’ instead of ‘Bogh’ and said that Pujaris came in temples only to eat ration which is condemnable as the Bogh of God offered by the Pujaris,” they said.
Pujaris of the Raghunath Temple decided, in view of remarks on the Bogh, in future they after offering the Bogh to God will return to Langer.
“We will not take this Bogh till Ajay Gandotra does not apologize for his remarks on Bogh,” Pujaris vowed.
Employees are demanding constitution of Board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust and CBI enquiry of land scams by taking under hand deal by the persons having control on Dharmarth Trust for the last 60 years.
The persons who sat on hunger strike today include Sagar Singh, Pt Subash, Pt Sunit Sharma, Pt Parshotam, Pt Rajesh Sharma, Anisha, Vaishno, Raj, Tilk Raj and Shottu Ram.
Others present during the protest included President Vivek Bandral, Ex-president Thakur Kernail Chand, Ex-General Secretary Pritam Sharma, Sunit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Pawan, Deepu, Rinku, Makhnu, Jivan, Bushan, Sonali, Renu, Anju, Sheetal, Sonika, Sukeshni, Rita Salathia, Rekha, Ritu Devi, Harbans Lal, Surjeet Singh Slathia, Parshotam Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Jagjeet Chand, Sahil Sharma, Pt Babu Bishambar Lal, Raj Kumari, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Ritu Rajput, Jyoti, Sheela Devi, Savita Jamwal, Kanchan, Rajni, Nisha and Sonika.
