Dharmarth Trust employees take out protest rally in Jammu

JAMMU, Jan 18:
Protesting Dharmarth Trust employees today took out a massive rally here seeking intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust at the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Various organisations namely JPPF, Kranti Dal, Shri Raghunath Mander Sewa Samiti extended full support to Dharmarth Trust employees and also participated in the rally.
Holding banners and placards in their hands, the employees gathered at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and staged a strong demonstration from where they took out massive rally towards Shri Maharaja Hari Singh statue at Tawi Bridge.
As the protest entered the 49th day and chain hunger strike at 22nd day, hundreds of employees, including women and children, continued their ‘dharna’ at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and raised slogans against the J&K government and Dharmarth Trust management.
Making an appeal to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to concede their demands, the employees stated that they are pinning their hopes on him for redressal of their issue.
M S Katoch from JPPF, Brij Mehra from Jammu Pragati Manch and Vijay Kumar from Kranti Dal also addressed the gathering.
Employees demanding shrine board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust and CBI enquiry of land scandals by taking under hand deal by the persons having control on Dharmarth Trust for the last 60 years.
The employees association decided to start signature campaign in support of public board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust and get the opinion of public.
It was also decided by the association that the employees to take out rally on January 19, 2020
The persons who sat on hunger strike today included Sonali Pt Raj Pal Sharma, Pt Jagdish Raj, Pt Karun Goswami, Th Raghubir Singh, Dev Raj, Om Prakash, Darshan, Balwant, Sheetal and Bimla Devi.
The Association president Vivek Bandral said that corrupt practices of the self styled trustee and council members were responsible to malign Dharmarth Trust image.
The protesting employees also drew attention towards the case in the court of district session judge to remove present trustee and present management of the Dharmarth Trust.
Among others present in the strike, included Ex-President Kernail Chand Thakur, ex-General Secretary, Pritam Sharma, Working President Rajinder Shastri, Sunit Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Mr. Brij mohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Pawan, Deepu, Rinku, Makhnu, Jivan, Bushan, Sonali, Renu, Anju, Sheetal, Sonika, Sukeshni, Rita Salathia, Rekha, Harbans Lal, Surjeet Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Jagjeet Chand, Sahil Sharma, Pt Babu Bishambar Lal, Reeta Salathia, Raj Kumari, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Rajani, Shobha, Nisha and Sonika.
