Sh Mohd Suleman Choudhary IPS DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Conducted security review meeting of arrangements for Independence day at district police office Reasi.
Meeting was attended by Sh Shailender Singh SSP Reasi, Commandant CRPF 126 Bn, CO IR1st BN, ASP Katra & Reasi, SDPO’s, Officers from Army, ITBP, CISF and intelligence.
In the meeting security review of all the arrangements were discussed threadbare. All the officers briefed their part of inputs & arrangements to DIG for peaceful conduct & celebrations of 75th Independence day celebrations.
SSP Reasi also threw light on important aspects of security drill put in place in the district including surprise nakas, long range patrol, security of vital installations etc for peaceful conclusion of the forthcoming Independence Day & updated the supervisory officer.
DIG also expressed his concern to contain if there is any attempt to revive militancy in the district, infiltration and encounters in adjacent district Rajouri and directed for highest level of alertness & preparedness during these days. Officers were directed to call OGW’s and history Sheeters in Police Station regularly these day to thwart their naferious designs.
The Officer reviewed security drill of Vital installations including SMVD Shrine, yatra route, safety and security of pilgrims visiting to pay obeisance to the Shrine on daily basis.
Deputy Inspector General of Police further directed to conduct joint security drill with CAPF for security of the shrine and mentioned it as top priority of police of this jurisdiction.
Sh Suleman Choudhary further stressed upon verification & census of migrants in and around Katra town, pony porters and others in the towns to check the entry of any suspicious element in the area. He further directed to conduct checking of the hotels and other residential accommodations meticulously for verification of character antecedents of the person visiting there.
Social media monitoring and generation of human intelligence was top among the directive of the Officer. Further directed to use full energy of jawans and give 100% for peaceful conduct & celebrations of 75th Independence Day.
Mr Choudhary added that Weapons dropping and IED blast through drone is a major concern these days and all the force including VDC’s should maintain highest level of alertness to thwart any attempt of anti national elements and keeping them at bey.
Meeting ended with the positive note on Coordination and Cooperation between all the security forces & sister agencies.
