Mission statehood holds a protest against PDD department for, frequent unscheduled power cuts, big scam, no accountability, transparency in the electricity bills, the whole PDD billing system has collapsed.
Addressing the protestors Sunil Dimple president mission statehood jammu Kashmir has urged and demanded the LG Manoj Sinah to set the j&k govt power department, correct and right, as there is no accountability and transparency in the billing, high amount bills already paid are delivered again and again after the privatization of the power department.
Dimple warned mass agitation will be started soon against the failure of the billing system, unscheduled curtailment, fluctuation of the electricity.
Dimple alleged after privatization of PDD department, installation of the pre-paid recharge smart meters, there is anarchy in the PDD department .Dimple said no consumer bills updated online, sites closed, no SMS, or paper’ bills coming to the consumers, no PDD bill app updated. He said poor families getting high amount bills, consumers depositing money, but where money is deposited, money going, no record with the consumers, no receipt of deposits details are uploaded online and no record with the Pdd department subdivisions.
Dimple alleged in the j&k PDD departments officers of many subdivisions of electric department sources disclosed that some black sheep officers, official XN, AEE, JE, etc have by-passed residences’ electricity out of the installed smart meters. He said many officials have not taken electricity through the smart meters connections, in spite of their whole residential areas being covered with prepaid recharge smart meters. But the officials have not taken prepaid smart meters connections.
Dimple demands LG Manoj sinaha to hold CBI enquiry & stop to pay salaries to the electric department officials, unless they attach monthly bills copies with the signature of salaries received.
He also alleged in 42 degree summer temperature, the lot of unscheduled power cuts have started & lot fluctuations in the smart metering areas.
Dimple demanded to stop power cuts curtailments, deliver SMS, monthly paper’ bills at residence, shops, along with an on-line system to cross check and immediately upload the bill amount deposited details month wise on the system app.
Dimple demands CBI inquiry of the officials, stop their salaries and take the NOC certificate of the PDD employees that their electricity is not by -passed from the smart meters.
Dimple demands LG manoj sinaha to take up matter with centre govt to return our slal, Uri power projects.
The other protesters are Raju Kumar, Sanjay Sethi, Sudersan sharman, Dev Raj, Kasturi lal, and many others.
