SRINAGAR, MAY 23:
Centre’s representative to Jammu and Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma called on Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here today.
Sharma met the governor at the Raj Bhavan, an official spokesman said.
He said Vohra and Sharma held extensive discussions regarding the crucial importance of maintaining peace and normalcy in the state, the announcement of the unilateral ceasefire, the recurring ceasefire violations from across the International Border and the Line of Control, and other important issues.
Sharma called on the chief minister in a separate meeting here this evening.
During the meeting, the overall situation in the state was discussed,
the spokesperson said.
He said Sharma apprised the chief minister about his recent interactions with a cross section of society in different areas and the situation along the borders in the state.
