Dino Morea has finally opened up about his ‘rivalry’ with John Abraham. In a recent interview, the actor explained that the reports of his rift with John made headlines after he broke up with Bipasha Basu, who then stepped into a relationship with the Pathaan actor.“We never had any rivalry. We used to talk to each other and have fun with each other. The talk about the rivalry between us started in people’s minds after I broke up with Bipasha and he started dating Bipasha. People started thinking that he was dating my girlfriend, so there was a rivalry, media also fueled this,” Dino told Siddharth Kannan.The 48-year-old actor clarified that there has “never been any rivalry” between him and John. He revealed that they often text each other and praised John by saying, “I am happy to see where he is today. Because at that point when we were starting out people used to say models can’t act and we proved them wrong. John has done really well. I take my hat off for that guy, he has conducted himself well.”Dino Morea met Bipasha via a common friend and fell in love with each other. The two started to date in 1996 but parted ways during the filming of their 2002 movie, Raaz. “When we were working on Raaz, we were more or less over in terms of relationship. It was very difficult. But after Raaz when we did Gunaah that was the toughest time because we were breaking up, it was over,” he added.
