In a meeting of ‘Parmeshwari Care & Cure Charitable Trust’, held under its Managing Trustee, Prof. (Dr.) Kulbushan Mohtra, threadbare discussions were held regarding preparations for the ‘First Dogra Legacy Excellence Award’ function. The meeting unanimously resolved to organize a mega event on Dogra Brave day, falling on December 25, this year, to honor the distinguished Dogras, who have worked hard and earned distinction in various fields to promote and preserve rich Dogra Culture. In this meeting, Parsh otam Dadeechi was announced as Chairman of the Dogra Legacy Excellence Award Committee, Prof.(Dr.) Kulbhushan Mohtra as its President, Rajesh Raja as Event Director, Subash Chander Sharma as General Secretary and Balbir Ram Ratan as Media Advisor. The meeting authorized Prof. (Dr.) Kulbhushan Mohtra to constitute the rest of Committee for Dogra Legacy Excellence Award in next few days.
Prof.(Dr.) Kulbushan Mohtra, on this occasion, said that the objective of launching Dogra Legacy Excellency Award is to honour the great sons of the soil who have contributed in making people familiarize with the Dogra culture through different platforms. Prof.(Dr.) Mohtra shared that celebrating December 25 as Dogra Brave day has a reason as this day reminds of the display of exemplary spirit of patriotism religious fervor and self sacrifice of a brave Dogra who shot a poisoned arrow at Greek Commander, Alexander.
“Ours is a social organization which will reach every nook corner of J&K to compile details of such people who deserve to be honoured for their service to the Dogra Culture, he added.
