Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review land acquisition process of the Semi-Ring road project.
All concerned District Development Commissioner’s presented their progress regarding the land acquisition process of the prestigious project.
The meeting was informed that the ring road project is 42 km long and starts from Gallandar Pampore to Manigam Ganderbal via Budgam, Srinagar, Baramulla and Bandipora. The district administration of Srinagar, Pulwama, Baramulla and Bandipora districts had already transferred the required land for this prestigious project to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) while as land acquisition process in district Budgam and Ganderbal is under progress.
Divisional Commissioner directed NHAI to transfer pending amount to the respective District Development Commissioners immediately for onward disbursement among the people whose land has been taken for the road.
Khan directed the officers to remove all bottlenecks for the construction of Srinagar semi-ring road project so that the construction work will be started at the earliest.
The Div Com reiterated that this vital project will revolutionize the road connectivity between South Kashmir and Central Kashmir and beyond which will greatly help intra and inter-district transport for the benefit of the large population of commuters as well as locals.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Project Director NHAI, Assistant Commissioner, representatives of RAMKY and other officers were present in the meeting whereas Deputy District Commissioners of Pulwama, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal participated the meeting via video conferencing.
