Shri Sanjeev Verma Divisional Commissioner Jammu Division J&K visited Basic Leadership Camp at Nagrota and interacted with 500 Boys and Girls NCC cadets who have come from all parts of J&K State. During his address, he lauded the efforts of NCC in bringing about a change in the youth profile of the Nation by its untiring effort and dedication. He praised the cadets for their superlative performance.
He informed cadets that defence forces of India have no religion and no region and for us nation comes first always and every time. He advised cadets to join defence forces to serve this nation. Indian Armed forces are the most professional defence forces in the world. We take pride in saying so. He urged cadets to discuss, share, express and to settle problems at community level before the problem becomes big. He said human values are the first line of defence so that we can have good citizens and ultimately good country.
Divisional Commissioner further defines that, character defines a person, whether or not an NCC cadet will prove to be a responsible and worthy citizen largely depends upon the character qualities that he imbibes in his formative years. He further apprised the cadet that there are many desirable character qualities. However these cannot be taught like a lesson. They can only be imbibed through the growing up experience, by being tested and challenged in the role and responsibilities of daily living with family, peers and the community at large. Individual backgrounds and circumstances very widely and no one approach will fit all situations. This Basic Leadership Camp started on 09 Jul and will terminate on 18 Jul 2019. In vote of thanks Brig Raghu Vir Sadhotra, Deputy Director General, NCC Directorate J&K along with Col Dharmendra Pandey thanked Shri Sanjeev Verma Divisional Commissioner Jammu, for his visit in the NCC Camp and Inspiring the cadets.
