SAMBA, SEPT 27:
Under the aegis of J&K Legal services authority and also under the insightful directions of Chairperson District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Samba an awareness programme on “World Tourism Day, 2024” was held here at Samba Fort.
This programme was organized under the Chairmanship of Chairman DLSA Ravinder Nath Wattal and under the supervision of Secretary DLSA Sandeep Singh Sen. The programme was attended by Tourism Officers of Samba as well as members of the Tour and Travel Association, Officers of LADCs, staff and PLVs of DLSA and students of Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Samba. The resource person for the programme Tourism Officer Dr. Rajesh Raina threw light on the different places of the tourist destination in the district Samba and the facilities available for the stakeholders. The Secretary DLSA, in his speech, highlighted the importance and aim of the World Tourism Day and educated the participants about the theme of this day which is “Peace and Tourism” and also the goal of the World Tourism Day.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Versha Anthal, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Samba.
Beside this, District Legal Services Authority Samba also organized an awareness programme on “Food Security and Standard Act and NDPS Act” at Govt. Degree College, Samba.
Tania Pargal, Legal Aid Counsel Samba educated the young students about the provisions of the acts. Light refreshment was also served to the students at the end of the programme.
