The District Level Task Force committee meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav, held today to deliberate on and approve self-employment cases under PMEGP sponsored by the District Industries Centre (DIC) Kishtwar and the Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Kishtwar.
This meeting underscores a significant stride towards fostering entrepreneurship and economic development in the district.
The meeting saw the participation of esteemed officials, including the General Manager of DIC Kishtwar, Phulail Singh, the Functional Manager of DIC Kishtwar Nenait Sharma, the Lead District Manager (LDM) of Kishtwar, the Director of RSETI, and representatives from the Zonal Head of JK Bank Kishtwar and KVIB. Their collective expertise and insights were instrumental in the decision-making process.
During this session, 44 aspiring entrepreneurs presented their cases for self-employment projects. After meticulous evaluation and consideration, the Task Force approved a total amount of Rs.192 lakhs for these projects. This substantial funding is designated for further sanctioning by the relevant banks to the approved candidates, facilitating the initiation of their entrepreneurial ventures.
The GM DIC Kishtwar Phulail Singh highlighted the crucial role of self-employment in generating job opportunities and enhancing economic self-sufficiency within the district.
The sanctioned funding is anticipated to significantly invigorate the local economy by enabling enterprising individuals to establish and grow their businesses, thereby contributing to Kishtwar’s holistic development.
