The workers of DOGRA FRONT & SHIV SENA under the leadership of president Mr ASHOK GUPTA took out a massive protest rally in jammu city against the erratic water supply and power cuts in such a hot & scorching heat.
The party workers were carrying empty buckets signifying the shortage of water and electricity.
Party president stated that the holy month of sawan has begun which is very auspicious for Hindus and celebrate it in full glory, but long & erratic power cuts are spilling the mood of the festivities.
He further stated that in this hot & humid weather air conditioners are the only relief to the people but power cuts have made it very difficult. If the power supply is less than water is supply is affected adversely. Hands of the chief engineer are tied as even by paying a higher share of the revenue he is getting less power.
The situation is very bad due to unscheduled power cuts and non-availability of water, Mr GUPTA requested personal intervention of the Lt Governor to provide relief to the public.
The government should start investing in the solar power projects as jammu receives ample amount of sunlight which is carbon free and at a very low cost electricity can be generated by the government.
At last he said that when the people of Jammu are paying entire bills as per the smart meters than there should be 24 hrs power supply.
The party people who were present at the time of rally were Abhishek, Geeta, Bittu, Ganesh, Bantu, Prem, Kalu, Rampal, Naresh, Ram and various others were present.
