The 39 year-old Sikh man, identified as Avtar Singh, son of Balbir Singh, was hit on his head with an iron rod following a dispute between two parties over a piece of land in the presence of a police party. Mr Gupta offered his condolences to the family and prayed that the departed shall Rest In peace.Singh had bled profusely and died later due to excessive bleeding.The workers of DOGRA FRONT & SHIV SENA under the leadership of president Mr Ashok Gupta took out a massive protest rally in jammu city against the nexus of Land grabbers & Revenue department official.
The party workers raised slogans demanding strong action against such people who have been looting people of there hard earned money and costing lives to the families.
Before dying, Avtar Singh could be seen saying in the video that he had purchased the land in 2008 and had valid land documents with him and that police post in-charge and station house officer hobnobbed with the goons, who attacked him and his family.
Taking immediate action in connection to murder, police authorities have attached SHO Gangyal Harmohinder Singh and put Incharge Police Post Greater Kailash Puneet Sharma under suspension for their alleged negligence to control the scuffle that led to the killing of the man, besides a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been constituted to probe the matter in detail.The party president stated that people who have been arrested have been doing the heinous act of grabbing land since ages than why they are released from jail and PSA is uplifted. He further stated that the without the involvement of Patwari and revenue officials such act of selling a single piece of land to multiple people is not possible and the nexus has been looting people.
This has to end the DGP RR SWAIN is known for his honesty and IGP Jammu Sh Anand Jain has always been seen as the beacon of honesty so the people of jammu has lot of faith in them as these notorious land grabbers have created a ruckus in jammu.
There are some others high level officials in the government who has been indulge in the act of grabbing land and there names should also be made public.Mr Gupta said that the records of the land should be digitalised as soon as possible so that anyone buying land can check the status quo online and save themselves from such things and people.The party people who were present at the time of protest were Raju, Bantu, Vikky, Kalu, Prem, Ganesh, Sushil, Vinay, Naresh, Rampal and various others were present.
