The Students of Dogra Law College today took out a peace procession to commemorate the martyrdom of 40 CRPF personnels, who were martyred on 14th of Feb, 2019 in an attack on the convoy and also to welcome the home coming of wing commander ”Abhinandan Varthaman”, after having landed in pakistan”s territory.
The students started the peace rally from Panama Chowk which culminated at Balidan Stambh, Jammu. The students were holding banners and raised slogans to show their love for the country and their solidarity with the families of the martyrs. Students were accompanied by, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman Dogra Educational Trust, Secretary, Kr. Samardev Singh Charak, Principal,Prof. VP Magotra and staff of Dogra Law College.
After reaching Balidan Stambh, management, students and staff of Dogra Law College paid floral tributes to the martyrs at Amar Jawan jyoti. Later Th.Gulchain Singh Charak Chairman, Dogra Law College addressed the gathering and put forth his views. He told the students about the bravery and valour of the soldiers and asked the students to keep up the spirit of unity in diverstiy and secularism. He also asked them to set an example for the rest of the country by maintaining peace and harmony in the State. Later few students also propounded their views on the occasion. Deepak sharma, a student of 2nd semseter BA LL.B 5years recited a poem on this occasion, Amit Sharma a student of 4th Semester BA LL.B 5 years stated his views, he also thanked the students,staff and management of Dogra Law College for participating in the rally.
