Students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu have once again brought laurels to the school by excelling at CelesteCon’24, a prestigious national-level online astrophysics and aviation-themed fest organized by DPS RK Puram.CelesteCon, hosted by Aeross – The Aerospace Society of DPS RK Puram, witnessed participation from over 30 leading schools across the country. The fest, held virtually from 9th to 16th November 2024, aimed to foster interest in aviation and space sciences through a series of competitions, debates, and workshops.Five talented students from the Eureka Physics Club of DPS Jammu participated in multiple events, showcasing their scientific prowess and analytical skills:

Danish Talwar (XI-A) won the First Prize in the “Surprise Event”, a unique competition where participants faced multiple rounds without prior disclosure of the challenges. The event required them to solve a crossword puzzle, prepare a futuristic and scientifically accurate report on extraterrestrial lifeforms, and compose a poem on astronomy and the universe. The element of surprise and quick thinking made this competition thrilling and an exceptional learning experience.
Manaswin Mahajan (XI-A) secured the Third Prize in “The Pursuit of Dispute”, an event that tested participants on logical reasoning, data analysis, and argumentative research in the field of aviation and space technology. The competition had two rounds: the first focused on data analysis and report-making, while the second featured debates and deliberations on topics such as:
For or against: The use of drones for automation in aviation
Hydrogen-based engines vs. Electricity-based engines
Manaswin’s ability to critically analyze, research, and debate among over 40 participants from across the country earned him this prestigious position.
