On the observance of 26th June-2019 as “International Day against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking”, a Drug awareness programme was organized in P/S GRP Jammu. Members of civil society and drivers of vehicles operating from Railway Station Jammu were invited in the programe.
A large number of participants spoke on the occasion which include Sh. Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP GRP Jammu, Smt. Anita Pawar SDPO GRP Jammu, Sh. Vinod Kumar SHO GRP Jammu and others. Sh. Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP GRP Jammu while addressing the participants, briefed about the ill effects of drug abuse and how it has derailed the life and career of people particularly youth.
He advised the participants to remain away from this menace. He emphasized that future drug awareness programs should be organized at Railway Station Jammu in co-ordination with different civil societies. In his address, SSP GRP Jammu appealed to the participants to desist from drug menace. He advised staff of GRP Jammu to maintain strict vigil on the activities of nefarious elements who may use Railway platform for smuggling of drugs. All those who delivered lecture on the occasion vociferously briefed the participants about menace of drugs abuse and how it effects the body and mind of youth. SSP GRP Jammu thanked the all the participants and all coordinating agencies for their co-operation and participation.
