JAMMU, APR 30:
Dalit Sena Chief J&K state Mr. Romesh Lal Bhagat, in a press hand out issued here, has appealed to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Mtm. Mehbooba Mufti that in view of the great hardships that the public is facing because of there being one Chairman & one Secretary for J&K State Board of School Education, provision for two Chairmen & two Secretaries be kindly made. Both these officers remain in one division for six months and during that the other division suffers as there are certain powers which the Joint Secretary does not have. During summer the needy have to go from Jammu to Srinagar and during winter from Srinagar to Jammu, which causes them not only the harassment & the loss of precious time but also of money.
One of the cases of rampant unfair means in examination like mass coping, paper leakage etc is the workload faced by the Chairman & the Secretary of the State Board of school Education, who are controlling affairs of both the Divisions hence there is urgent need to have separate Chairmen & Secretaries for both the Divisions. When the Board was constituted and the posts of one Chairman & one Secretary were created, the number of candidates appearing in Board Examination was small which has now increased six times. Hence the creation of two addition posts has become absolutely necessary. If there are two separate Universities, Two separate Directorates even two separate central Universities for Jammu & Srinagar then why not two Boards of School Education separately for Jammu & Kashmir.
