Earth day celebrated at MIER College

The Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Environment Unit of MIER College of Education by conducting the cleanliness drive andtreeplantationdrive in the campus. Dr. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal MIER College along with the HoDs of different Departments of the college, faculty and students participated in the drive.
A group of 100students from the undergraduate and post-graduate departments of the college participated in the cleanliness campaign and during the campaign; the students cleaned the campus including the garden of the college by disposing non- biodegradable garbage and de-weeding of the college garden.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal, MIER College of Education, led the plantation drive by planting more than 36 saplings in the campus. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the benefits of tree plantation and urged the students to follow the environmental ethics for making the earth a clean and green planet.The students felt connected with Mother Nature by these hands-on experiences.
Dr. Monika Bajaj, Incharge Environment Unit deliberated on the challenges of creating a sustainable environment and encouraged the students to implement strategies for saving the earth in their real life.
