“Let’s join hands on this Earth Day to make our Earth a better place to live in.” With this thought, MLZS Tarore today was reverberated with excitement and enthusiasm of its students who were all geared up to create awareness about the environment thus celebrating the occasion of Earth Day. The students were sensitized about the importance of saving environment during special assembly, depicting the love for their Mother Earth. The main aim of the event was to motivate and spread awareness among the students on some of the ways to save Mother Earth.
On the occasion, the Chairman of the school Dr. A.K. Kapoor and the Director Mr. Rahul Kapoor were present who initiated and inaugurated the plantation drive in the school itself along with the Principal Mr. Sundeep Arora and Coordinator Mrs. Gayika Kapoor. In his motivating words, the Chairman addressed the students by saying that it is a great day to showcase environmental education and highlight the efforts to make the school clean and green and engage the whole school community in making a difference.
The students of classes 1st to 8th voluntarily participated and planted the saplings of various kinds of plants and trees under the guidance of the teachers in the presence of Chairman, Director, Principal and Coordinator in the various parts of the school. A Botanical Garden was created where various ornamental plants were planted with the name tags of the students who took up the responsibility of maintaining and nurturing the plants that they planted. The learning outcome of this activity was to bring up a sense of understanding of the importance of Ecology which includes planting more trees.
