Deliberating upon the important yet least emphasised determinant in determining the health outcomes in one’s life Dr. Sushil Sharma during a day-long health awareness camp in the precincts of Dogra Brahaman Pratinidhi Sabha, Jammu has underscored the importance of education in improving health status of individuals, families, communities, states and nation. Education provides people the ability to know how to take care of themselves. Numerous studies across the globe documented that higher levels of education are positively associated with better health throughout the lifespan. He stressed that in addition to being prepared for better jobs and high income, people with more education are more likely to learn about healthy behaviours. Educated patients may be more able to understand their health need, follow instructions, advocate for themselves and their families, and communicate effectively with health providers.
Accompanied by team of young doctors and paramedics Dr Sushil examined people of adjoining areas for prevalence of cardiac diseases and other health ailments .people were screened, evaluated, diagnosed and free medicines were given as per the requirements.
Management Committee of the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Vaid Parkash Sharma, Prem Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, SN Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, K.L Sharma expressed their gratitude to Dr. Sushil and his team for holding a camp in the heart of the city. They were hopeful that similar activities would be organised in the coming days.

Paramedics and Volunteers who were part of the team includes Rohit Khajuria, Vikas Kumar, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Akshay Kumar, Gourav Sharma, Ankush Kohli, Vikas Sabharwal, Raghav Rajput, Kamal Sharma ,Suresh Baigra and Nitesh Gupta.
