JK Montessorie School celebrated its much-awaited Annual Day for classes 5 to 10 with immense grandeur and enthusiasm, marking another milestone in its journey of excellence.
The event was graced by Sh. Arvind Gupta, senior BJP leader and MLA West Constituency, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Ashwani Khajuria, Director of Hospitality and Protocol, Convention Centre, as the Guest of Honour. Adding prestige to the occasion were the School’s Chairman Sanjeev Mahajan, Director Rajni Gupta, Dean Academics Apurv Gupta, Mr. Keshav Chopra, Mandal President BJP, Ex-Corporator Neelam Nargotra, Chairman Mount Litera Parneesh Mahajan, Mr. Ashok Dixit, and Principals of various schools.
The program commenced with a formal welcome note by the School Coordinator, Mrs. Sutinder Kour, who highlighted the school’s remarkable achievements in academics, co-curricular activities, and community-building initiatives.
The highlight of the celebration was a breathtaking dance drama depicting India’s journey through the pre-independence, independence, and post-independence eras. The performances showcased the spirit of patriotism and emphasized the importance of resilience, progress, and environmental preservation through a captivating blend of music, dance, and storytelling.
The school also celebrated academic excellence by recognizing the achievements of its students for the sessions 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. It further honored distinguished alumni, including Annie Vaid and Pallvi Verma for qualifying the prestigious JKAS examination, Chirag Kotwal for securing the 2nd runner-up position in Indian Idol, and Harshit Kohli, who represented India in fencing at the Commonwealth Games held in New Zealand.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Arvind Gupta said that it was an honor to be part of the Annual Day celebrations of JKMS, a school that consistently excels in academics and co-curricular activities. He expressed his admiration for the enthusiasm and talent displayed by the students, adding that the institution’s dedication to shaping future leaders was truly commendable.
He highlighted the cultural performances, stating that they were not only entertaining but also deeply impactful. “The portrayal of India’s journey through various eras reflects the values of patriotism, resilience, and sustainable progress. Such initiatives play a pivotal role in instilling national pride and responsibility in young minds,” he remarked.
MLA Arvind emphasized that education is not limited to academics but encompasses all-round development. He commended the management, faculty, and parents for their pivotal role in nurturing young talents and creating an environment conducive to holistic growth.
Encouraging the students, he said, “Dream big, work hard, and stay committed to your goals. You are the torchbearers of our nation’s future, and the lessons you learn here will guide you to make a meaningful impact on society.”
He extended his best wishes to the School Management for its continued journey of excellence and success in empowering young minds.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Charanpreet Kour, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students for their contributions in making the event a grand success.
