Educational Visit to JKMPCL AMUL Snow Cap Milk Plant by 2nd-Year BAMS Students at JIAR”

The Department of Swasthavritta at JIAR, Jammu, organized an educational visit for the 2nd-year BAMS students of the 2021-22 batch on 9th January 2025. A group of 40 students, accompanied by Dr. Palvi Dubey, Assistant Professor at JIAR, visited the JKMPCL AMUL Snow Cap Milk Plant.Upon arrival, students were provided with surgical head caps and masks for hygiene and safety. The plant staff took the students through various stages of pasteurization, explaining the entire process in detail. They covered the different levels of pasteurization, FSSAI standards for milk and milk products, and the variety of milk packaging options. Furthermore, the students were briefed on the differences in milk quality and nutritional contents across different products.
Dr. Palvi Dubey, on behalf of the Department of Swasthavritta, JIAR, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at JKMPCL AMUL Snow Cap Milk Plant for their warm hospitality and comprehensive support throughout the visit.
The visit proved to be an enriching experience for the students, contributing significantly to their academic and practical understanding of dairy processes.
