Eid teaches peace, sense of fellowship & fraternity: Bhalla

Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla has greeted people of state on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr – one of the greatest religious festivals of the Muslim community. In his message, he prayed for the continued peace, progress, in state.”Eid-ul-Fitr brings the message of happiness after the month-long fasting and practice of self-restraint during Ramadan. Eid is a joyous occasion for Muslims.
Let joy spread among all parts of state,” he said.
The former Minister said people irrespective of their classes and professions develop bond of harmony, amity and unity amongst themselves on this day.”Let the teachings of Eid-ul-Fitr spread among people and help them build a prosperous J&K,” Bhalla added.
Noting that Islam is a religion of peace and welfare, Bhalla maintained that there is no place for hatred, spite, violence, or localism in Islam.
It upholds the spirit of human values, mutual coexistence, absolute tolerance, and equality,” he said. He hoped that the essence and inherent significance of Islam for human emancipation would widen further, and the world be filled with peace and amicability.
He hoped that the practice of self-purification, restraint, amity, and harmony of the Muslims in their personal, family, social, and occupational lives would spread everywhere. The former Minister said Eid teaches peace and a sense of fellowship and fraternity, and helps people bond with equality, friendship, and harmony, forgetting hatred and violence.
He also wished for the development, peace, and progress of the state. On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Bhalla visited Malik Market, Bathindi, Karayani Talab and Digiana Eidgahs and exchanged Eid greetings with Muslim brethren on Eid-ul-Fitr.
