Deputy Chief Minister J&K and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today attended a program organised by Arogya Bharti, an organisation working in the field of spreading awareness and motivating people in adopting healthy life style at Shiv Temple, Trikuta Nagar.
He said that Enlightened society is must for healthy India and Yoga is the best way to keep diseases away and lead a medicine-free life.
The program was organised to spread awareness on importance of Yoga in prevention and management of disease.
While addressing the gathering, Gupta said the seed of Yoga which was nurtured by our Rishis, millions of years ago, is now crossing all boundaries and reaching every corner of the globe with the initiative of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. It is a matter of pride for Indians, that the whole world has adopted Yoga and celebrates it on International Yoga Day, he added.
The Dy CM appreciated the efforts of the organisation and their humane gesture for dedicating this centre to the common masses and also congratulated the volunteers who spare their time for serving the society.
He further emphasized that these yoga instructors working voluntarily will spread a wave of well being through yoga which will greatly benefit the nation He further expressed his keen desire that Arogaya Bharti should open more such centres and assured them his full support and cooperation in all such endeavours.
The function ended with vote of thanks delivered jointly by Dr Krishan Dev Gupta and Abhishek Sharma.
