Reposing strong faith in leadership of Lok Janshakti Party J&KUT President Rafiq Malik, prominent persons today joined LJP in presence of Varun Bali State Vice President, RP Singh State Gen Secy, Puran Chand Malhotra Gen sect Jammu Province, Mohd rafi Shah State President Minority Cell,Mulkh Raj State President Labour Cell, Mohd Janab Choudhary Youth Distt President Jammu Urban, Arbaz Malik Youth Vice President J&KUT, Iftikar Choudhary Distt youth Gen Secy Jammu Urban, Qadir Malik Youth Gen Secy J&KUT, Nirmal Gen Secy Jammu Province Minority Cell, Simran Head Office Gen Secy,Amjad Khanyouth President Jammu Province, Dilip Raj Youth President Distt Jammu,Rahil Jamwal Youth Secy Jammu Distt,Sadeek Ali Gen Secy Ward 49. Those who joined include Shabeer Ahmed State Secy Labour Cell JKUT and incharge of Distt Doda and Reasi,Tahir Wani (Distt President Labour Cell Ramban, Sat Singh Distt President Reasi, Munazar Aslam Gen Secy Labour Cell Ramban Distt ,Munish Rajput Distt President Samba, Rohit Distt President Sports and Cultural wing Samba.
The new entrants expressed full faith on the policies and programmes of LJP and strong faith in leadership of LJP J&KUT President Rafiq Malik. Speaking on the occasion, Malik said the LJP believes in strengthening the people and is committed to equitable development of J-K.He said party is duty bound to address the aspirations of the people.LJP has been pioneer in implementing revolutionary programmes aimed at improving the conditions of the people, especially those living in remote and backward areas,” he added. “It is the duty of the government to address the unemployment issue immediately,” he said and demanded regularisation of daily wagers and other workers engaged in various government departments.He said due to “administrative inertia and lack of political direction”, the sufferings of the people increased manifold. Successive Governments in J&K pushed people to the wall, as unemployment has increased, prices have risen and developmental activities have suffered a lot,” he alleged.In an atmosphere of uncertainty and political instability, the people of J&K passing through most difficult times,” Malik said.
Speaking to media persons, Malik urged the Central Government ensure proper security to leaders of political parties to facilitate their free movement. For initiation of political dialogue, the government should restore security cover of all leaders of political parties according to the areas and threat perception so that they can move freely from one place to another,” he said. “Since the year 2012 when the targeted killing of sarpanches began, political parties have been petitioning the Centre and the state governments to provide security and safe accommodation. In all these years starting with the Congress-led UPA government and now the BJP-led NDA government at the centre our demands have not been met. He also pointed out that in the absence of political representatives, since the J&K assembly has been dissolved, it is political leaders that are the bridge between the people and the government.
