Expressing confidence that Congress will do extremely well in ensuing District Development Council polls by defeating the Saffron Party, Garu Ram, former Minister and Chairman J&K Kissan Congress organised a workers meeting at his residence, R s pura and said that Congress will do everything to safeguard the unity, harmony, brotherhood in the country.
Garu Ram was addressing party cadre at RS Pura and Suchetgarh Block, seeking support for Party’s candidates of Congress from RS Pura and Suchetgarh, on the outskirts of Jammu, urging them to gear up for upcoming elections in to ensure party’s victory with a thumping majority, as the victory of Congress will infuse confidence among people in J&K, who have been facing hardships due to misrule and mis-governance by BJP in the state. In the meeting , DDC Candidate from RS Pura Sh. Romesh Motten also addressed the congress workers of R s Pura & Suchetgarh Block and appealed for support in the upcoming DDC elections.
The former Minister said that it is the duty of Congress cadre and common people to defeat designs of communal and fascist forces hell bent to divide people to serve the vested interests. He told party workers to defeat falsehood and political exploitation by opportunist political parties, responsible for damages caused to peace and development in the State. “BJP will continue to remain as a big source of alienation among people for the fact that it vitiated the atmosphere in the State to serve their dirty political ends,” he said.
Lashing out at BJP for betraying and backstabbing people on sensitive issues, Garu Ram told party leaders that it was their bounden duty to reach out to people to apprise them about political gimmicks on part of Saffron Party, as this opportunist party has once again started playing with emotions of people on sensitive issues, but at the same time, he expressed confidence, that this time, people will not even listen to its propaganda for securing votes.
Garu Ram also appealed to the people of RS Pura and Suchetgarh to remain vigilant about the false poll propaganda by BJP and defeat it in the ensuing elections to ensure victory of Congress in the elections, for the fact that it is Congress alone which has fought against fascist and communal forces and will continue to remain committed to work as a bridge between different religions and communities.
