Ex-Serviceman Vidya Sagar with supporters, joins BJP at party headquarters, Jammu

Strengthening the BJP’s outreach among veterans and nationalist forces, Vidya Sagar Sharma, an ex-serviceman from Sarwal, along with his supporters, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Sat Sharma, President, BJP J&K and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), along with party Vice-Presidents Bharat Bhushan, and Rekha Mahajan, General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, and senior leader Parmod Kapahi formally welcomed them into the party fold.
Welcoming the new entrant, Sat Sharma said that the BJP is a nationalist party committed to the welfare of every section of society, especially those who have dedicated their lives to the service of the nation.
He said that ex-servicemen are a symbol of discipline, patriotism, and sacrifice, and their association with the party further strengthens its ideological base.
Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation has witnessed unprecedented respect and welfare measures for our armed forces and veterans. The joining of respected citizens like Vidya Sagar Sharma reflects the growing faith of the people in the policies and vision of the BJP, he added.
Bharat Bhushan, while addressing the gathering, said that the BJP has always stood firmly with the armed forces and their families. He expressed confidence that Vidya Sagar Sharma’s experience and grassroots connect would significantly benefit the party’s organizational activities in Jammu.
Rekha Mahajan stated that the party is continuously expanding due to its commitment to development, transparency, and public welfare. She said that the inclusion of dedicated and service-oriented individuals would further energize the cadre and strengthen the party at the booth level.
Baldev Singh Billawaria emphasized that the BJP remains committed to inclusive growth and equal opportunities for all sections of society. He said that the party values disciplined and patriotic individuals who can contribute to nation-building and organizational strengthening.
Speaking on the occasion, Vidya Sagar Sharma expressed gratitude to the party leadership for welcoming him warmly. He said that he was inspired by the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the organizational strength of the BJP, and pledged to work tirelessly to strengthen the party and serve the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
