Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kishtwar SKUAST Jammu organized one day training programme on Skilling Farmers though Daksh Kisan Portal for the extension personnel of agriculture production and Farmers Welfare Department Kishtwar under the guidance of Dr AmrishVaid, Director Extension SKUAST Jammu. 30 officers and extension personnel of the department from the district attended the training programme.
Dr Narinder Paul, Head KVK Kishtwar organized the programme. Amjad Hussain Malik Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar, Khalid Zargar DAO, Jamshed Dev SMS DL,Agriculture extension officers and JAEOs and AEAs of different zones of the Districtparticipated in the programme.
During the programme, Dr Narinder Paul deliberated upon the Daksh Kisan Portal of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department J&K. the participants were educated about different skill certificate courses under HADP being carried out through Daksh KissanPortal for farmers and youth through hybrid mode. Registration of farmers, e-learning through study material and online evaluation through quiz were also discussed in detail.
The participants cleared their doubt and shared the constraints being faced in motivating the farmers to learn through the portal.
Amjad Hussain Malik CAO Kishtwar while speaking during the programmed called for formulating location specific strategy for reaching the farmers in far-flung areas of the district to educate them about the portal and motivate them to undergo self-learning through portal.
He also stressed for focusing on educated farmers and youth in the initial phase. At the end of the technical programme an interactive session was held in which the queries of the participants were discussed. Programme ended with vote of thanks by Khalid Bashir Zargar, DAO Extension Kishtwar.
