Face-Off raises question on woman reverence

Taking concept forward in Theatre of Convenience, Lakshay –the aim today released the premier show of play Face-off under Hometheatre.
The play is strong contradiction of thought process of two Indian women in contrast and harmony, one on mythical background and one on contemporary foreground.
A woman in Bharti confronts the mythical Krishna personified as Azaad telling her tragic tale of different sojourns in a male dominated society where she has to undergo traumatic episode of Delhi rape victim and others of her ilk subjected to such tragedies.
Draupadi , the mythical character of Mahabharata too rises to occasion and takes Krishna to task seeking his ideologue for being godly entity , but failing to keep woman reverence .
Sonam Sharma, new find on state’s theatrical milieu gave a scintillating performance of both Bharti and Draupadi through her variegating histrionics.
She held audience captive with her theatrical nuances and gathered unprecedented applause.
The play written by Vikram Sharma was finely designed and directed by Aditya Bhanu , a young theatre director of the state who has won many milestones on theatrical presentations .
The play produced under concept of hometheatre and held in Theatre of Convenience devised by the playwright in 2011-12 was cherished by neighboring onlookers who became audience.
Music was by Karishma Bajgal and costumes and set design was done by Shalini Sharma.
Raj Bhagat, Rahul Khetri, Drishti Rajput, Varsha Bakshi, Sandeep Sharma, Tarun Sharma, Aman Sharma, Abhishekh Baru , Vishal Sharma, Pooja Thakur , Shikha Bandral and Komal Shangloo graced the occasion.
