Indian Army organised a ‘Cricket Tournament’ for the youth at HSS Keri, Poonch District. The aim of conducting the competition was to celebrate the Silver Jubille of Kargil Vijay Diwas, and to promote sports and health amongst youth, and also to develop a sense of sportsmanship and to engage youth in constructive activities. The tournament was played to strengthen the spirit of unity as also to promote ‘Fit India Campaign’. The tournament witnessed huge support from the Awam and saw participation from villages. The final match was played between MPCC Mendhar and Bawa 11. MPCC Mendhar emerged victorious by beating Bawa 11 Junior by 122 runs. The event generated tremendous interest and enthusiasm amongst the youth and residents.
