The third day of 23rd Sub-Junior UT Kabaddi Championship for Boys & Girls organized by Udhampur District Kabaddi Association under aegis of Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association and J&K Sports Council at Indoor Sports Complex Subash Stadium Udhampur witnessed a very exciting final in Boys section today.
Sh. Kuldeep Gupta Technical Director Asian Kabaddi Federation was the Chief Guest on the occasion and present winning trophy to then champions. Sh. Ashok Kumar Salhotra Former Director Sports SMVD Katra and Sr. Vice President School Games Federation of India was guest of honor. He said that looking towards the overwhelming response of Kabaddi game and that of the Kabaddi enthusiasts witnessed at Udhampur. J&K Kabaddi Association shall make efforts to allot some more championship including few matches of proposed Federation cup for which request are stand already made.
Earlier in the semifinal which were equally thrilling Baramulla had beat Budgam with a margin of 6 point the final score was 53-47. In other critical semifinal played between the teams of Udhampur and Poonch. District Poonch got better over their rivals with a margin of 16 points with final score 40-24.The teams were presented trophies and medals by the Chief Guest, Ashok Kumar Patron in Chief, Sheikh Tanveer President Udhampur District Kabaddi Association, Ashok Kumar (Chairman), Abdul Rehman Paddar (Joint Secretary J&K kabaddi Association), Vikas Dogra (Manager Subash Stadium) and Vishal Bamotra. The said event organizes under the active guidance of Sh. Anil Gupta President J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association and specially under direction of secretary Sports Council Ms. Nuzhat Gul who is promoting Kabaddi game in each District of UT of J&K.
