In celebration of World Ayurveda Day, Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR) organized a unique Fireless Cooking Competition on the theme “Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health” at the JIAR campus. The event, held on 16th October, saw the participation of 16 student teams, each presenting Ayurvedic homemade and handmade recipes prepared without the use of any heating elements.
The competition showcased a variety of innovative recipes, highlighting not only their deliciousness but also their medicinal benefits, rooted in Ayurvedic principles. Each team creatively demonstrated the health-enhancing properties of their dishes, emphasizing how Ayurveda can be adapted to modern dietary needs. The event was spearheaded by Dr. Neeru, Assistant Professor, Department of Shalakya Tantra, with the support of Dr. Hiteshi, Assistant Professor, Department of Rachna Sharir, and Dr. Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Samhita Sidhant.
The fireless cooking competition added a dynamic element to the World Ayurveda Day celebrations, encouraging students to innovate within the field of Ayurvedic nutrition and promote the global health benefits of this ancient science.
