Indian Red Cross Society today concluded three (03) days (16 hrs) First Aid Training Programme for the Border Areas of Jammu Region. 27 participants from School Education Department and local Red Cross Volunteers participated in this training.
The objective of this training was to enhance the capacity of the volunteers who shall act as First Responders in times of emergencies, cross border escalations and educate the community to make them more resilient to disasters to which the community is vulnerable. The aim of training was to reduce disaster risks and build resilient communities alongside the International Border of Jammu Region.
The training programme was concluded by giving the participation certificates and First-Aid Kits to all the participants by the Honorary General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Chapter Mr. M.S. RATHER, accompanied by Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Regional Secretary, Jammu Province, Mr. Sahadeo Rawoot (ICRC) and Mr. Tapash Saha Roy (IRCS, NHQ). This program was held under the supervision of Dr. Itinderpal Singh Bali, Master Trainer, Ms. Utplakshi Kaushik, F.A Manager, Mr. Imran Muzaffar, Program Manager from Indian Red Cross Society and Ms. Rizwana Rashid and Mr. Manash Mohan from the ICRC and the resource persons from IRCS, State Headquarters and Jammu Regional Branch.
