Five days Basic Civil Defence training camp started by Civil Defence Jammu at Model Institute of Engineering & Technology Kotbhalwal Jammu, The camp was organized under the able guidance of Shri V. K. Singh, IPS, DGP, Commandant General, Homeguard/Civil Defence & SDRF J&K, Sh. Muneer Ahmed Khan, IPS Addl. Director General of Police, HG / CD & SDRF J&K and Shri Vikas Gupta, SSP, Incharge DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu under the close supervision of Dy.SP Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. In the training programme Civil Defence Instructors were given the lecture on First Aid, Fire Fighting and other rescue techniques. etc.
Shri Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden in his speech highlighted the role of civil Defence wardens/volunteers during disaster to help the people as a first responder.
The main aim of the training programme to facilitate the students and staff members of MIET College to deal with emergency situations like earthquake, fire, road accidents, etc. 90 Students/Staff attended the training programme. Besides, the following Civil defence wardens/College staffs were also present on the occasion :-Th. Ranjit Singh, Dy. Chief warden, Sh. R. Vijay Mangotra, Dy. Divisional Warden, Sh. Anil Gandotra, Director Operations, Dr. Sahil Sawhney , Senior Manager Strategic, Sh. Bhanu Partap Singh Jamwal, Assistant Professor, Ms. Anshu Khosla, Assistant Professor & Ms. Neha Malhotra, Assistant Professor.
