Five days Basic Civil Defence Training camp concluded at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sunjwana which was organized by Civil Defence Jammu under the guidance of Sh. Muneer Ahmad Khan, IPS, ADGP, HG/CD & SDRF J&K, Sh. Vikas Gupta, JKPS, SSP, Incharge DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu and the supervision of Dy.SP Shashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu. Smt. Shashi Thakur, Dy.SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu was Chief Guest of the valedictory function.
While speaking on the occasion Smt. Shashi Thakur, Dy.SP Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu briefed the trainees with regard to preparedness of Disaster Management and importance of First Aid, Fire Fighting, CPR, DO’s and Don’ts during earthquake or natural calamities.
On the occasion Shri Paramjeet Kumar, Chief Warden and Thakur Ranjit Singh, Deputy Chief Warden have also delivered valuable lectures and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization during the natural calamities.
Shri Manish Tuli, Principal and Sh. Rakesh Kumar Dhar Dubey, Vice Principal of the Institution highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence and thanked the Smt. Shashi Thakur, Dy. SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu and her team especially Civil Defence Instructors for organized such training camp. During the training camp Civil Defence Instructors were given the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Fire fighting, Emergency rescue methods of Rescue alongwith demonstration to the trainees. In the training camp at least 150 students of higher classes and teaching/administration staff members were undergone the training.
