Former MLA R.S. Sharma besides prominent leader of BSP Ashok Bhagat and BJP Mahila Leader Anita Gupta today joined Congress party. They were welcomed into the party by JKPCC Chief Shri G.A. Mir, in presence of AICC Secretary Incharge J&K Affairs Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Khan and other senior leaders.
Mr. Sharma was twice MLA from Nowshera Constituency. He was last elected on NC ticket in 2008 and was candidate of NC in 2014 from Nowshera. He along with his supporters today joined the party and expressed full faith in the policies and leadership of the party.
JK Congress Chief Spokesperson & Senior Congress leader from Nowshera Mr. Ravinder Sharma, Ex-MLC was amongst those who welcomed him into the party.
Apart from Mr. Sharma, Ashok Bhagat Prominent BSP leader and Lok Sabha Candidate from BSP of Marh also joined Congress party.
Smt. Anita Gupta of BJP Mahila Morcha leader of Jammu East also joined Congress along with her supporters.
Senior Congress leaders Shri Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, Balwan Singh, Vikram Malhotra, Th. Hari Singh Chib were prominent among those who welcomed the new entrants into the party. A large number of workers were present on the occasion.
