Karan Johar is giving newcomers Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria a dream debut with ‘Student of the Year 2’. While Ananya is already pretty famous, it seems like ‘SOTY 2’ is the perfect launch pad for dancer and ex VJ Tara too.
According to reports, the diva has already bagged her next film, this time opposite Shahid Kapoor no less! Apparently, the movie will be a remake of the Telugu film ‘Arjun Reddy’, which earned a lot of critical acclaim. Of course, the film will be redone in order to match North Indian sensibilities. Tara will reportedly play Shahid’s love interest in the film. However, at the moment nothing is confirmed from the makers or from the actress herself.
Disha Patani is on a roll. Disha’s last release ‘Baaghi 2’ became a hit at the box office. Recently the 25-year-old actress even bagged a role opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’. Now according to latest reports, Disha has been approached to star opposite Hrithik Roshan in Rohit Dhawan’s next.
According to a tabloid report, Rohit Dhawan is currently working on the script of the film. Reportedly Hrithik has given a nod for the project and the team is on a hunt for the leading lady of the movie. Apparently, the team has considered Disha for the same and if reports are to be believed then the actress has given a nod for the untitled project. However official announcements are expected to be made by the end of June or July, this year.
The film is expected to go on floors by early 2019.
On the work front, Hrithik is currently shooting for ‘Super 30’. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie is scheduled to hit the screens on 25th January next year.
Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif are going to be paired up for the first time in Remo D’Souza’s upcoming dance movie. Varun, who is evidently very excited to work with Katrina, speaks about the same.
The actor reportedly said that the film has become bigger with Katrina coming on board. Varun also added that the actress is very hard working who has overcome many odds to become what she is today. The actor also reportedly admitted that she is a fantastic dancer and that they will look very good together.
Talking about the prepping up for the film, Varun reportedly stated that they are sharing dance videos, brain-storming and discussing the film all day.
Shraddha Kapoor, who was last seen in Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Haseena Parkar’, has been away from the silver screen for quite a while now. The actress is now apparently being considered for Nitesh Tiwari’s next opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.
According to the reports, the actress is expected to share screen space with Sushant Singh Rajput in Nitesh Tiwari’s next which is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. However, an official announcement is still awaited.
Rumour mills are also abuzz with reports that Jacqueline Fernandez was also approached for the role.
Shraddha and Sushant were also to reportedly star in Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s film ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ which will see Sushant playing an astronaut. However, the film has been put on a backburner for now.
Katrina Kaif and Varun Dhawan are all set to collaborate on the big screen for Remo D’Souza’s dance film. The fans are eagerly waiting to watch the two for the first time in a movie.
While speaking to a daily, Katrina Kaif spoke about how excited she is to work with Varun Dhawan. Katrina revealed that she is very excited to work in the film as it is very important for her. With regards to Varun, Katrina said that she has known him for a very long time and he is a very delightful, genuine, hard-working and positive person. She further added that Karan Johar once told her that Varun will be bouncing off the walls in the film and she will have to calm him down. She further said that the dance film is a great space and fun opportunity for both of them.
The untitled dance film will be directed by Remo D’ Souza and is reported to be in 4D and IMAX format.
Apart from this Katrina Kaif will also be seen in Aanand L. Rai’s ‘Zero’ along with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is one of the most anticipated films as it marks her comeback in the industry. While the film is yet to release recent reports suggest that Kareena has already signed her next project with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Apart from this gossip mongers even have it that Kareena will be romancing Sidharth Malhotra in the film!
Reportedly Raj Mehta who assisted Shashank Khaitan in ‘Dhadak’ will be getting his big break with the banner in this film. The untitled project is said to have an ensemble cast and Karan is yet to finalise two more stars who will play another couple beside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sidharth Malhotra.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will soon begin with the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Veere Di Wedding’. The film is slated to hit the screens on June 1, 2018. On the other hand, Sidharth Malhotra will next star in a biopic on late war hero Captain Vikram Batra who had sacrificed his life during the Kargil War in 1999.
