Government College for Women (GCW) Parade today clinched the inter-college Volleyball trophy beating the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Department in straight sets 25-14, 25-9, 25-11 in the final played at University of Jammu (JU) courts, here.
Champa Devi and Sofia Chowdhary of GCW Parade were the star performers in the title clash.
Earlier, in the semifinals, decided today, GCW Parade trounced Government Degree College (GDC) Akhnoor 25-10, 25-16 and PG Departments outplayed GDC Hiranagar 2-0 (25-19, 25-22). In one of the quarterfinals, GDC Hiranagar downed GDC Kathua 2-0 (25-20, 25-23).
The matches officiated by the technical panel including Amit Sharma, Madhuri Jamwal, Mulkh Raj, Manik Nargotra, Vikas Karlopia and Shubham Sharma.
