To commemorate the foundation day of Election Commission of India, GDC Akhnoor celebrated 11th National Voters’ Day today under the guidance of Principal Dr. Namrata in the college premises which marked various activities highlighting the importance of Voters Day . A chart making activity was organized which was followed by taking Voters’ day pledge by students and staff members of the college. Later a lecture was delivered by Ms. Rashmi Sharma, Assistant Professor, HoD Political Science, GDC Akhnoor.
The aim of the celebration was to create awareness among the students and staff about the importance of National Voters’ day and impressed upon the necessity of taking active part in the political process of the country. The students of the college took active part and evinced immense interest in chart making activity. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Piyush Kant, Assistant Professor, GDC Akhnoor.
