The Department of Mathematics of GDC Akhnoor organzes inter-college Mathematics Quiz competition in College. Jenab Ajay Sharma, S.D.P.O Akhnoor was the chief guest on the occasion and enlighten the students about moral Duties about the society. The resource person Dr. Zahir Abbas from Baba Gulam Shaw Badshaw University, Rajouri was the guest of honour. He delivered a lecture on the topic “General Orientation on Mathematics”. The welcome address was given by Dr Pawan Kumar Sharma, Head of Department of Mathematics, who enlightened the students with his views on the importance of Mathematics in other branches of science. This programme was conducted by Department of Mathematics of the college. Mr. Akshay Seekal, Ms. Shivani and Muskan were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of Oral Presentations while Parveen Kumar , Himanshu were given consolation prizes whre as Team D from GDC Khour stood first in the quiz competition and team B and team C stood 2nd and 3rd respectively. The programme concluded with formal vote of thanks by Prof. D.N. Sharma. On this occasion, Prof Ravi, Prof Tarsem lal, Prof. Sukriti , Prof. Mussarat, Prof. Surita, staff members from GDC Akhnoor, and GDC Khour and more than 200 students of the college were attended the function.
