The Valedictory Function of the Seven Days NSS Special Winter Camp was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal at Government Degree College Jourian. The NSS Unit of the college organized the closing ceremony of Seven Days special winter Camp in the college premises with full charm and vibrant participation from students and staff members.
The programme commenced with the auspicious Sarasvati Vandana, setting a spiritual and positive tone for the event. NSS volunteers and students actively participated in the cultural programme and presented colorful performances, including a lively dance on Dogra folk songs that captivated the audience.Riya Choudhary, Leader of the NSS Unit, highlighted the major activities undertaken during the seven days of the camp. She elaborated on the Swachhata Abhiyan, Dogra Food Festival, Singing competition and the impactful Nukkad Natak performed on the theme “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” in the adopted village M/S Manchak. During their visit, the volunteers also distributed stationery items to school girls, promoting the importance of education and social responsibility. The unit further organized a Poster Making Competition on the burning issue of “Cybersecurity,” encouraging students to express their awareness and creativity. Various sports competitions, including inter-semester volleyball and cricket matches, were also conducted to promote physical fitness and team spirit among students.
On this occasion, Dr. Suresh Sharma, HOD Dogri and Convenor of the NSS College Advisory Committee, appreciated the sincere efforts and dedication of the NSS volunteers that led to the grand success of the camp. He also extended his gratitude to Prof.Archana Sharma , Dr. Sushma Kumari, Dr. Zubair Ahmad Butt, Dr. Neeraj Bargotra, Dr. Waseem Elahi , Dr.Irshad AhmadDar, Dr.Mehk, Dr.Nain Singh, Ms Rumma Salgtra, Mr.Rakshit Sharma , Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Mr.Gaurav Sharma and Mr.Neeraj Manhas for their valuable support and cooperation in successfully conducting the camp. He specially appreciated NSS Programme Officer Dr. Sheetal Sharma and congratulated her for organizing the camp in a well-coordinated and systematic manner.The worthy Principal of the college, Dr. Anuradha Pandoh, also lauded the volunteers and the NSS Programme Officer for the smooth and disciplined conduct of the Seven Days Special Winter Camp. In her address, she motivated students to always help the needy and work selflessly for the nation. She further appreciated the strong coordination among staff members, which was clearly reflected in the successful execution of the camp activities.In the end, NSS Programme Officer Dr. Sheetal Sharma expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the worthy Principal and all staff members for their constant support and encouragement. She also thanked her dedicated volunteers for their cooperation and tireless efforts that ensured the smooth and successful completion of the Seven Days NSS Special Winter Camp.
